Lost and found birds

New Zealand Bird Rescue Charitable trust receives lots of birds and currently has a Lorikeet found in the Laingholm area. If you lose a bird please search for it as they can survive a long time in the wild and often gravitate to people looking for food. If you find a pet bird, it is important to find the owner as it is very stressful for birds going to a new home. Ways to search for birds, or advertise a lost bird, include ringing Bird Rescue on 816 9219, contacting local vets, or visiting www.petsonthenet.co.nz or the lost and found section at www.trademe.co.nz.

New Zealand Bird Rescue Charitable Trust has a rescue centre at 74 Avonleigh Road in Green Bay. We are in need of volunteers to help out in the mornings. For more information contact info@birdrescue.org.nz. Website: www.birdrescue.org.nz. (1103)
