About the Tatler
Launched at the end of 2003, the Tatler is
edited, designed and produced by professionals who between them have more
than half a century of experience in the newspaper and magazine business.
A free monthly A4 publication, it rapidly
became a "must" read and has more than doubled its original circulation.
Since September 2004, every issue has been delivered to 19,400 business
and residential letterboxes and selected outlets such as libraries,
community houses and cafes.
Circulation covers about one-third of the
entire population of Waitakere City, an estimated 70,000+ readers, living
in New Lynn, Glen Eden, Kelston, Green Bay and out to Huia as well as
Titirangi Village and its surrounding districts. This area includes some
of West Auckland's most affluent suburbs with Titirangi, in particular,
experiencing a high volume of visitor traffic as a gateway to the popular
West Coast beaches of Piha, Karekare and Whatipu and the 30,000 hectare
recreational wilderness of the Waitakere Ranges.
A quality publication focused on the
community, the Tatler is lively, informative and entertaining and appeals
to young and old alike. Regarded as second to none within its circulation
area, it is highly sought-after by readers and advertisers.
Fringe Media,
the Titirangi Tatler's parent company, is dedicated to improving
communication within communities, not just in West Auckland but in local
and corporate communities throughout New Zealand.
Producing a successful community
publication, one that attracts plenty of supporting advertising and a
loyal readership, requires careful planning and a certain amount of
expertise.
We offer a consultancy service to help
individuals or groups, whether they are not-for-profit organisations or
commercial ventures, to prepare the background and set up the framework
and infrastructure required for a local publication to succeed.
Fringe Media also helps promote and
strengthen the West Auckland community by producing a range of Proud to
be a Westie T shirts.
